I’m not really one for long-winded speeches, so I’ll make this short!

Nyan Koi is still progressing. Since the show’s staff fell so far behind during the series’ original run, we’re going to be releasing the entire series on Blu-Ray as they become available. That’ll probably be a joint, so stay tuned to find out who we’ll be working with.

Suteki 25 is almost out the door–please hold on just a little bit longer!

Isekai is also progressing. There’s not much news on that right now, but check the site for updates in due time.

On to the main story: I was fortunate enough to make a new acquaintance, through an unrelated project, who told me about a stalled project he’d been wanting to work on for over a year. He asked me if I knew a team that would be interested in subbing it, to which I responded, “Absolutely.”

The show is an oldie, called Ie Naki Ko Remi.

Plot Summary: Remy, a cheerful and tender-hearted girl, lives with her mother in a French country town. One day her father returns to the town after a long period working away from home in a city. Her father tells Remy that she isn’t their real daughter, and Remy is almost sold to an evil slave trader. It is Vitaris, a strolling entertainer, who helps Remy. Vitaris discovers her talent for singing and decides to take her in with his troupe. Remy starts her journey with Vitaris and his troupe animals such as the monkey Georicoule and the dogs Capi, Dolce, and Zelbino. When the troupe visits a certain town, Remy happens to meet her real mother and her son, Arthur, and they all get to know each other. But Remy still doesn’t know the truth. Unfortunately, Remy leaves the town for Paris without realizing that they are her real mother and brother. After that, Vitaris dies and Remy is left alone to experience many hardships and difficulties one after another.

We already have the 26 episode series fully translated, and work is going even faster than I had originally expected. Look forward to that and more soon!

We’re also not planning to take on any shows in the new winter season. As of right now, we don’t have the manpower to keep up with a lot of other groups. We’ll only take on a show in the Spring if a translator wants to come sub it with us and if no other decent groups have taken it on.

That said, we are looking for new staff. We’re in need of translators, translation checkers, editors, and typesetters (as well as positions in the Recruiting page). PM Zdm321 or Jing on IRC if interested.

Nyan Koi is NOT dropped.  We as just having some setbacks, and work should resume come winter break.

Suteki 25 just needs QC Apply and Final Encode, then it’ll be released!

Inuyasha is on hold till our joint partner, IY4EVER, releases something.

Sorry guys, I’ve been super busy with schoolwork to really do anything… But we do have the translations for Nyan Koi. We are also working on correcting the lyrics for the songs with the official lyrics.

As for Aoi Bungaku, I’m not really sure what’s going on with that…

PS – there’s a bit in this third episode that has us stumped… Our original translator translated Kosaka as saying Chizuru looked like a “laughing ape” but our translation checker told us he said she looked like a woman who has just given birth (for lack of a better term) and the Chinese subs said she looked like a “prostitute”… Any suggestions as to what is really being said?
